Welcome to Donum Terra, Latin for "Gift from the Earth". I’m Melanie Gomez, the maker behind Donum Terra. My journey into jewelry-making began unexpectedly—out of boredom at a job I didn’t enjoy. With nothing but my hands and time, I started rolling paper beads, creating jewelry without even looking. Soon, I had a collection and a newfound passion.

Curious to explore more, I ventured into new materials—copper, leather, resin, sterling silver, and natural stones—along with techniques like beading, wire wrapping, and silversmithing. I fell in love with the craft! Though my background is in biology, my heart belongs to artistry.

For over 12 years, I’ve embraced the endless creativity of handmade design, drawing inspiration from nature’s geometry and symbolism. My work is a fusion of rustic charm and timeless elegance, infused with my personal touch and artistic vision.
